EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM — VETERAN AFFAIRS CANADA 

You may be eligible for financial assistance for post-secondary education if you are a child of a deceased Veteran or Canadian Armed Forces member.

CANADA STUDENT LOANS

Canada Student Loans can be one way to help pay the costs of post-secondary education.

INCOME CHART TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR CANADA STUDENT GRANTS 

The Government of Canada’s CanLearn website displays an income chart which determines your accessibility to a “Canada Student Grant for Students from Low-Income Families;” this grant provides $250 per month of study.

CANADA STUDENT GRANTS

Canada Student Grants provide money for college or university that you don’t need to pay back.  They are available to students from most provinces and territories except those from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. These governments have their own programs.

CANADA LEARNING BONDS

The Canada Learning Bond is available to children who were born after December 31, 2003 and whose families receive the National Child Benefit Supplement. (The Supplement is over and above the Canada Child Tax Benefit and is usually received by lower-income families.)

 

ONTARIO

Student loans, grants, scholarships and bursaries: Where to find money that can help you pay for a college, university or apprenticeship program after high school.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a mix of grants and loans for students.
